After making the reservation, be sure to inform guests that they must arrive early to ensure entry to the park. All vehicles are subject to paying the parking fees, that may be in effect, upon entry. The facility rental fee does not include parking fees.

Overview
Description
Chicopee State Park, formerly the Cooley Brook Reservoir and Watershed has been developed as a high use active recreation area. The total acreage is 575 acres including a 25-acre pond. Day-use parking may reach capacity and be temporarily closed until sufficient parking is available. Recreation:
The park offers a variety of activities including a guarded swimming area, fishing and bicycle trails. Children under 16 must wear a helmet while bike riding on DCR property.
Fishing Restrictions: Ice Fishing in not allowed as the ice conditions and water levels often fluctuate.
Facilities:
The pavilion picnic area may be reserved in advance for $65. There is a non-refundable $4.50 transaction charge for the reservation service. The pavilion rental includes use of a group sized (3 x 3 cooking area) charcoal-ready grill and picnic tables. Restrooms and potable water are near the pavilion, for your convenience. An accessible portable toilet is also provided.
